The Ports of Art Program was created to provide opportunities for artists to display their work in an open venue, to increase the general public’s awareness of the beauty and necessity of art, to contribute in a significant and beneficial way towards the visual enhancement of public spaces, and most importantly, to fund Fundación Aire Fresco activities and programs for the children in the vicinity of Puerto Vallarta, and elsewhere.
Fundación Aire Fresco provides wonderful opportunities to make a positive difference in a child’s life. Children who have participated in our programs, return from their adventures permanently changed by the many new facets of life they have encountered. A whole new world of thought, self-identity and confidence emanates from each one of them. In turn, this empowerment enables the children to pass on their discoveries and awareness to others.
We hope the children will transfer their enthusiasm and motivation towards a better future
in their own communities.

Paul Plaine
After working in the advertising field for 37 years Paul Plaine retired to pursue photography and fine art giclee printing in his studio located in White Plains NY. Being able to use my working experience in photography and with color, with the tools that are now available is both challenging and pleasure in creating new images.

Eva Leong
Eva Leong is an artist classically trained in Chinese watercolor & philosophy and the co-owner of Beatroute Studios in Mystic, Connecticut.
Leong’s path in contemporary art first manifested itself in 1982 when she moved from Shanghai to New York City to continue her Fine Arts training at The Art Student’s League and Parsons School of Design. Eva later relocated to Connecticut, opening a gallery shop in Mystic, Work of Art, creating & selling original artworks. In 2005, she launched Beatroute Studios - an evolution of music & art space - with her partner, Brian Carters, where she continues to teach art & art enrichment workshops.

Gabriel Martinez
Gabriel Martinez is from Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico. He is only 22 years old which makes his works even more impressive. Gabriel learned to paint along side his uncle, Alejandro Martinez. Gabriel has received no formal training in art and paints exclusively in oil. In 2010 his painting, “Chiles” placed second in a competition for young artists in the Toluca Museum of Modern Arts. He is clearly a natural talent.

The Horizons Leadership Project (Horizons) is a youth enrichment program located in Brooklyn, New York.
Horizons primarily serves young people who are consistently confronted with some of the most challenging barriers to success in the nation. For many of these young people, their schools are failing them, their health outcomes are dire, they are being engulfed in the school-to-prison pipeline, and too often they are unprepared for the few jobs that are available to them.
